Dickon and the Moor
This work is based on the character, Dickon Sowerby, from The Secret Garden. I loved his incredible spirit, patience, and compassion toward all creatures. In the story he was described as an animal charmer, and I love everything about this!
Here he is with some of his besties; a Moor pony named Jump, Soot the crow, Captain the fox, an orphaned baby lamb, a wild pocket weasel, and the muted flora of the Scottish Moor.
The original acrylic and ink panel is sealed with a UV satin top coat and the edges with black acrylic and water-based polyurethane. 16x20 inches.
